Wedding Cake.

The top of our wedding cake is in the freezer at my parents house.

Mr. Rh and I have been married for almost 6 months. I have heard that the top of the cake is not very delicious if you wait the whole year for your first anniversary, so what I am wondering is whether we should eat it around the six month mark or wait for the anniversary or just eat it the next time we are at my parents house. I understand 1/2 anniversary's are not very special, but I don't want the top to go to waste.

Do you have any experience with this? What did you do? What would you recommend?

(The only bite I had was the bite he gave me at our reception and I definitely don't remember it!)

Actually a lot of my friends ate their top of the cake either at the one month mark of the sixth month so I think you should totally eat it at the six months. It is not good at a year I've heard.
My mom made our cake and we didn't save the top because it wouldn't be good at a year so she is making us a cake for our one year.

We came back from our honeymoon to find that our top hadn't been saved, but I have lots of friends who have saved their top and it's been just fine - the secret is wrapping it really, REALLY well. Thanks for visiting my blog today - hope you'll stop by again! :)

i agree with the above(kelley). Eat it, everyday is an anniversary anyways! then order a small version for just you 2 on your 1 year.
