The ONLY Hour of Television that Both Handsome And I Agree On Each Week.

Maybe this doesn't happen at your house, but ninety-ish percent of the time at mine, either me or Handsome is happy with what is on television. It is a rare occasion (aside from a little movie here or there) that we can both sit in our living room, without a laptop or book or cellular device, and enjoy the minutes between advertisements for mayonaise and super soft toilet paper.

It is a rare thing indeed. But my Mom introduced us to this little hour on the tube about five months ago (give or take a month). And that hour is now my favorite hour with my husband (and maybe of t.v.) each week.

There is not a lot of gore.

There is not a lot of teen drama.

There are not a lot of illicit affairs and fornicators.

Well, there was this one illicit affair ...

but it is absolutely not the focus of the show. And its all in the past.

So what am I talking about?

I'm talking about a show with good story lines.

With interesting dialogue.

With real. human. characters.

I'm talking about The Good Wife, which airs on CBS each Tuesday evening. It is by far my favorite show on television right now. And it has definitely filled a "no television time together void" that my husband and I have had for about a year now.

Thank Goodness for Tuesday nights.

I'm here. And tonight I'll be busy watching...

lol, oh the joys of being married! Bret and I actually agree on some things (Bones, Grey's, AI) but one thing I will leave the room when he turns on is 24. That is just NOT my show!

I've heard great things about that show, and my SIL is always trying to get us to watch it. Maybe we'll have to sit down and give that one a try.

I just set the DVR to record this tonight (since Lord knows I'll be fast asleep...or close to it, at 10!)

Thanks for the suggestion :)

Really? I watched it last week and was NOT impressed AT ALL. I totally like Castle and Brothers and Sisters more. Can we still be friends? Maybe we can agree on a favorite brand of toilet paper and still work through this.

I've never seen it before... but I'm pretty picky about TV shows too so maybe I should try it :)
