Help! The Momma is Hungry.

Hi any readers that are still around.

How are you? Can you help me with something? If you have been a new mom, what were some of the best dishes or most helpful meals that people brought to you? Of if maybe you are just a thoughtful friend who has taken meals to new parents, you can share your go-to dish.

I have only done this once. And I took a modified Chicken Spaghetti.

I'm on a mission. Taking a meal to a friend tomorrow. So...if you have any ideas (that won't break the bank) and that you would be willing to share I would appreciate it.

I'm back. I'm here. And I'm still writing,

I have done breakfast casseroles (just nothing too spicy if they are breastfeeding!) and muffins (easy to eat with one hand and on the go!). Also chicken rice and broccoli casseroles are pretty easy to reheat!

Good luck!

I've Taken baked mac&cheese, enchiladas and pizza from their favorite place. People brought us pizza, lasagne, cottage cheese patties, cheesy potatos and panera! My favorite was my friend brought us a pan of lasagne to eat now and one for the freezer. It was so nice!!

I make individual chicken pot pies which can be frozen or stuck in the oven immediately. They've been quite a big hit when Mom & Dad are tired of casseroles/lasagne, since that seems to be what most people bring.

I breastfed my son and was always soooo grateful when someone would bring a mild dish (nothing heavy on the onions, spices, broccoli, etc.) because everything Momma eats, baby gets! My favorite go-to meal for new Mom's is homemade chicken pot pie. I use Pillsbury crusts (in the box), and use whatever I have for the filling (veggies, potatoes, chopped chicken, cream mushroom soup, I even use brown gravy mix when I'm in a pinch. It all tastes good!) and just like the previous person mentioned about the lasagna, you can make two, bake one and wrap the other in foil with the baking directions right on top. That is always such great thing knowing you have something in the freezer.
