It is long, wavy and has been making me crazy all summer. It takes a while to fix and it feels hot. I wash it every couple of days, usually blow it dry and run a straightening iron through it. If I don't sweat or put it back that first day it usually looks decent for a few days, but when it comes time to wash it again... I delay and delay and delay because I don't like working on it!
The day I took that picture above was a day that I had let it air dry and then used a curling iron to tame it. I took that photo to send to Handsome so he could tell me if I looked ridiculous or not. I liked it, but that took a good portion of my day too and... I can't wash my hair every single day because its way too dry for that kind of abuse.
But... I just graduated from school and I'm soon to enter the "professional grown up" world. This payday situation and the fact that I have been mostly irritated with my hair (and the way it looks in photos) for the past six months has brought me to googling hairstyles in all of the time that I have been on the computer lately.
I think I am ready for a change. Maybe not of the pixie or chin length variety, but a little something lighter, easier to handle and a bit more polished if you will. A little something that doesn't take so long to fix that I feel like I don't want to work out when my hair looks good, thusly contributing to the strong distaste for photos of self?

Hmm, well it will always grow back if you don't like it . . . I like the styles you're looking at. Very pretty. Your hair looks really thick, maybe throw in a few more layers? My sister has really thick long hair, but she just got a haircut with more layers, some of them on the shorter side, and it really looks alot lighter, and it has a nice swing to it now . . .
Your hair looks beautiful in that pictures!! I cut 10 inches off my hair this summer. I have long hair that's naturally curly and I wash mine about every other day.
I too cut mine off to chin length in 2004 and hated it because I had such a hard time styling it.
I took it up to shoulder length this time around. I have a wonderful stylist who does a great job with layers. I can leave it curly or straighten it and i use hot rollers most days. I'm also one to put it back in a ponytail. You can make it look professional if you keep it lower. Good luck!!
I think your hair looks great!
I will tell you, from experience, that when you cut your hair just above your collarbone like those pics (or just below), it is ALWAYS a pain because it hits the bone and wants to flip in various ways. That was always my problem and somehow, I always forget that and cut it that length and in turn, regret it. ;)
I would try layering if you want a change...that's what I'm about to do too.
i love love the way your hair looks in that pic! I also think that the LC look or the claire danes look would be fabulous on you!
Well, I think your hair is beautiful but I totally get what you mean about how time consuming it can be to deal with it! I grew my hair out and at one point it was nearly down to my waist and it was a pain to take care of! I love the first and last photos, looks like it would be much more manageable!
LC. Your hair is beautiful. Long for the professional world. Hair is time consuming. Ach. I didn't like my hair as short as I cut it. Now that it is a little longer but not too long, I love it!
I'm loving Claire's hair too. Not too much of a change for now!
