Meeting Goals: Photo Dump Cop-Out Post.

Yikes!! So I haven't posted since the 1st of June! But getting this photo dump completed today keeps me on track to meet my (slacker) goals for 2012!
....

These little angels are my parents newest family members. I haven't met them yet, but I DIE over the cuteness. I have to get home to meet them before they get much bigger.

This was a beautiful scene on my way home from work the other night.

I'm participating in this Hexy Modern Flair (MF) quilt along. It is my first time paper piecing and this is my first completed flower! I have made a few others and have some progress on basting, so it will take a while, BUT I'm enjoying it!

We finally have a yard! (First time in our marriage... and in my adult life). SO we planted a garden and I finally found this little lovely a few weeks ago! It was delish!

I made this Pinterest inspired wreath for the 4th of July! It has been on our door all month. I think it is coming down tomorrow, because I'm ready for something a little less THEMED.

Ok, that is it for now. Back soon, in early August to share a few surprises!

Lisa Update.

My friend Lisa's little baby has gone to be with the Lord. She was not able to fight the infection very well. Thank you for your prayers and I ask that you keep Lisa, Eric the Daddy, and their families in your prayers still.

LIttle Baby Update #3

I haven't posted an update in a few days, but will now. I just talked with my mom and the little one has developed an infection. Lisa, the sweet mom, has still not been able to get to the out-of-town hospital, because she got sick and was readmitted to a hospital in the town the baby was born.

There was discussion that Lisa might be transferred to another, a different-town out-of-town hospital to see a specialist. We are hoping she will be transferred to babies-town, out-of-town hospital instead, so that she will be close in proximity to her little precious one.

Lisa's Mom is on her way to the out-of-town hospital to be with the little baby since she is sick. Please keep the little one, Lisa, and Lisa's mom in your prayers.

If I ever have a little girl,...

She will have an American Girl doll to play with! Gosh how I love American Girl Dolls.
When I was a young child, my mom would buy me baby dolls and she would have to give them away or take them back because I wouldn't play with them. At some point I told her I wanted a bald baby and that is when I got Elizabeth. She was my first American girl doll. She looked very much like the baby above (different outfit) and I still have her and think she is a precious memento of my childhood. A sweet reminder of the innocence of youth. And for the time being she will continue to suffice as my baby... until I maybe have a real one, if I ever do. :)

(p.s. Handsome & Mom and Dad, no need to worry. I'm not baby crazy yet. Or I'll keep telling myself that.)
